Timberline Estates Water Shut Off Update and Infrastructure Improvements
Water interruptions affect daily life quickly. Cooking, cleaning, laundry, pets, appointments, and routines all take extra planning when the water is off. We know this week has required patience from Timberline Estates residents, and we truly appreciate the understanding shown while this important maintenance work continues.
Water service will be shut off again on Wednesday, September 30, 2026, beginning mid-morning. The maintenance team expects service to be restored by the end of the day.
This work is not just a short-term repair. It is part of a larger effort to make Timberline’s water system easier to manage, easier to repair, and less disruptive for residents in the future.
Why the water will be shut off again
The upcoming shut-off is needed so the maintenance team can continue work on the community water system. One of the key improvements being made is the installation of additional water shut-off valves throughout Timberline Estates.
A shut-off valve allows maintenance crews to control where water flows through the system. When placed in the right locations, these valves make it possible to isolate smaller sections during future repairs.
Right now, when a repair or maintenance issue occurs, shutting off the water can affect a larger portion of the community than anyone would like. That means more homes may lose service, even when the work itself is only needed in one area.
By adding more valves, the team gains better control. In the future, a repair that might once have required a large shut-off may be limited to a much smaller area. The goal is simple: fewer homes affected, shorter disruptions, and a water system that is easier to maintain.
What residents should expect on Wednesday
Water service will be off beginning mid-morning on Wednesday, September 30 while the maintenance and improvement work continues.
The current expectation is that water service will return by the end of the day. As with any utility work, timing can depend on what the team finds once work is underway. The plan is to complete the work as efficiently and safely as possible while keeping residents informed.
Please plan ahead before the shut-off begins. A little preparation can make the day much easier.
Helpful steps include:
Fill pitchers, bottles, or clean containers for drinking water.
Set aside water for cooking and making coffee or tea.
Make sure pets have enough water for the day.
Plan around laundry, dishwashing, and showers.
Keep some water available for basic household needs.
Residents should also watch the My Timberline Dashboard and Park Alerts for updates throughout the day. Those will be the best places to check for timing changes, restoration notices, and other important information.

How new shut-off valves reduce future disruption
Water systems need regular repairs and maintenance. Pipes, valves, fittings, and connections all require attention over time, especially in older systems. When a system has fewer control points, a small repair can require a large shut-off.
Additional valves help change that.
Think of the water system like a set of connected paths. If there are only a few gates, closing one gate may block access to a large area. If there are more gates in the right places, the team can close a smaller section while leaving more of the system operating.
That is the purpose of this week’s work. The new valves are being placed to give the maintenance team better control when future issues come up.
That better control matters in practical ways:
A repair may affect only a few nearby homes instead of a larger section.
The team can respond more directly to the location of the problem.
Some future shut-offs may be shorter because the affected area is easier to isolate.
Residents outside the repair area may be able to keep normal water service.
This does not mean Timberline will never have another water interruption. No water system can promise that. It does mean the community will have more flexibility and better tools when maintenance is needed.
Temporary inconvenience for a stronger system
Hearing that the water will be off again is frustrating. We understand that. Water service is one of those things people rely on all day, often without thinking about it until it is unavailable.
At the same time, improving an older system sometimes requires short-term inconvenience. The work happening this week is part of a practical investment in Timberline Estates. Each new valve adds another point of control. Each improvement gives the maintenance team more options. Each step helps reduce the number of households that may be affected the next time a repair is needed.
The purpose is not simply to get through one repair. The purpose is to build a stronger, more manageable water system for the entire community.
Staying informed during the work
Communication matters during service interruptions. Plans can shift during maintenance, especially when crews are working underground or dealing with older utility lines.
Residents should check the My Timberline Dashboard throughout the day on Wednesday. Updates will be shared there as the work moves forward. You can also ask Dawn for a link to join the APP.
If service returns earlier than expected, residents will be notified on your Dashboard. If the work takes longer, updates will also be posted. The goal is to keep everyone informed with the most current information available.
For the day of the shut-off, it may also help to keep water use simple once service returns. If water appears cloudy at first, letting a faucet run briefly may help clear the line. This can happen after water service has been interrupted and restored.
Thank you for your patience
We know this week’s interruptions have asked a lot of residents. Thank you for making plans, staying patient, checking for updates, and giving the maintenance team the time needed to do the work properly.
A little inconvenience today can mean much less inconvenience later. The water system improvements underway now are being made for Timberline residents, for neighbors throughout the community, and for the future of Timberline Estates.
